Jenn and I have a baby girl! Her name is Mia Magdalena Umali, and she was born Wednesday, March 28, 2001.
This is our first baby. And this blog will be a daily record of my thoughts during her first year growing up with us.
This page only shows one week's entries. To see older entries, access the

I also have plenty of pictures of
Mia.
Rick's Ramblings BLOG is still being updated.

Jenn got Mia larger sized pajamas. They're a lot roomier. We weighed Mia this morning. Twenty pounds.

For the past month, this has been Mia's diet:
Breakfast has been cut bananas with either Aunt Jemima Mini Pancakes or French Toast Sticks.
Lunch has been some pureed vegetable with some yogurt.
Dinner has been some small vegetable (cut beans, peas) and sliced up lunch meat.
She has a bottle after she gets up (roughly 6:30AM), after her morning nap (roughly 10:30AM), after her afternoon nap (roughly 2:30PM), and before sleeping (roughly 6:00PM).
For snacks after dinner (or when she won't eat any of the above), we'll give her crackers, and even some toast.
She has a sippy cup of water, which we keep near her while she's eating. She'll glug it a lot during dinner.

Mia is moaning a bit now. I always try to type as quietly as I can when I hear her. She gives a few cries, then somehow settles back into sleep.
She was tired when I got home (around 5:30PM). She walked around while I plowed through dinner, but finally announced how tired she was by crying until we could change her, and give her her bottle. She was in her crib by 6:15PM.

Mia got a little bit better today. Her fever was reduced somewhat. Jenn took her for a brief walk today.

Mia is now sick. Jenn wonders if Mia gets sick "a lot". I guess compared to us, she does, but I've been only been slightly sick once in the past twelve months.
Mia was her helpless self by the afternoon. She didn't want to play on the floor, and she was hardly hungry. After I read her good night book, she fell asleep in my arms. We gave her Tylenol twice, and we think we'll hear from her during the evening. I was glad today was a day off from work.

Mia may have a slight fever again. Jenn thinks its another tooth coming in. All I know is that Mia started crying during dinner.
